Giambattista Valli “could not be more proud” that Jessica Biel asked him to design her wedding dress.
The actress wore a pale pink custom-made couture gown to marry Justin Timberlake in Puglia, Italy last weekend.
“We have been friends for a long time and have followed and supported each other’s work through all these years,” said Valli.
“She has always been a fabulous interpreter of my creations and I was very pleased when she came to me to help her for her nuptials to Justin.”
The strapless silk organza gown featured a light pink floral motif and multitudes of ruffles.
For a personal touch, the bride’s floor-length veil – also made by Valli – featured pearls from her grandmother’s wedding tiara.
“I could not be more proud that she walked down the aisle in Italy, my own country, wearing Giambattista Valli,” said the designer.
All the women in the bridal party – including four bridesmaids and both mothers of the bride and groom – wore gowns by the Italian designer to the ceremony.
The bride changed into another strapless dress from the Giambattista Valli spring/summer 2013 ready-to-wear collection for the reception.
